Digital Associate®

The Digital Associate® is AVI’s advanced interactive, solid state MPEG 1 & 2 media player. It has been designed specifically with Digital Signage market in mind. It can play video for retail, kiosk, vending display applications to enhance the efficiency and impact of point of purchase promotions.The Digital Associate® offers the next generation of high impact promotional advertising – driving more traffic, longers visits and higher impulse purchasing.

digital associate The Digital Associate® gives retailers, kiosk, and vending companies and their brands the chance to sell where it really counts – at the point of purchase.All settings and content are updateable and user programmable through a web-based interface using the Internet Explorer browser.

The Digital Associate® is a powerful and flexible communications tool, designed for playback of MPEG 1 & 2 video and audio files, as well as still images. Compressed digital media memory is stored on CompactFlash technology and offers standard, looping or scheduled playback options.Video outputs are NTSC or PAL compliant and the player is capable of driving any size of CRT, LCD or plasma screen.

Unlike DVD-based systems its unique solid state (diskless & fan less), self cooling design is ideally suited for continuous playback and guarantees a long lifespan. Digital Associate® runs on a Linux based operating system which requires no expensive license, unlike a Windows PC-based application.

Configurable via Windows XP client side software for LAN based solutions. Use the all new DA Portal V2.0,AVI’s complete CMS system for WAN applications.

Playback Modes
User created playlist, continuous loop, first file loop, manual or scheduled.

Interactivity
A serial port is provided for interfacing with a range of optional accessories such as a touchscreen, bar code read, RFID, push buttons and other control options.

Data Logging
Creates a user defined log of ongoing operation and playback events.

Display Output
Video can be displayed on any standard TV, LCD monitor or plasma display supporting composite, S-Video or VGA input.
